Today I updated 3 different copies of Joomla 4.4.3 site to J5.03. Two local copies to make sure everything would go smoothly and then I did the main site. All of the updates went smoothly as far as the Joomla update reported after I resolved the issues reported by the pre-check in the Admin dashboard. I can log into Site-1 front and admin and everything works fine. Site-2 was working until I stopped using it for awhile and it timed me out. Now I cannot log into either the front end or admin backend. The main site (live site) no longer recognizes any ID/password combinations. I cannot log in on a new browser. However, the front end had, at one point, allowed me to login using the browser that I was doing the upgrade on and now it does not respond to the log out button.
I've been using Joomla since version 2 and I've never seen this before. I migrated from J3 to J4 on another site as well and have had no problems there either. I can usually always figure out how to fix things but, this one has driven me to post my first request for help here. I am hoping I don't have to use my Akeba backups to go back to J4 on the live site but, am prepared to do so if necessary.
